Another potential lawsuit is now hovering over the heads of Beyonce & Jay Z. After creating arguably their biggest song to date in “Drunk in Love” back in 2013, there’s a possibility that Timbaland, Hov and Bey’s chart-topping banger was stolen away from a foreign singer. According to TMZ and Page Six, Monika Miczura (known professionally as Mitsou) is claiming that the power couple stole her song and she’s out seeking vengeance.
Mitsou recorded the Roma Folk song “Bajba, Bajba Pelem” in 1995. She claims she never gave Bey, Hov, Timbo permission to snip her record and use it for their own accord. She’s claiming that the first 13 seconds of their record was taken from her original song. In addition, Mitsou’s said her 1995 song was about hopelessness and that Bey’s revamped and over-sexualized version diminished the meaning of the original record. She continued to destroy the essence of Bey’s song by saying it was designed “to evoke foreign eroticism alongside the sexually intense lyrics.”
Currently, she’s seeking damages and is asking for the judge to prohibit anyone else from playing the song until she’s either properly compensated or the record is off the shelf.

Power couple, Jay Z and Beyoncé have been making divorce rumors seem like a thing of the distance past, recently. While whispers of a split swirled throughout the summer, and an alleged mistress adding to the reported scandal, the couple has been all smiles and showing PDA in recent outings. Now, finished with their uber popular On The Run Tour, Hov and B were recently spotted kicking it in Italy on vacation for Bey’s 33rd birthday. Once again, the couple seemed happier than a fat kid with cake as they cooled out in Portofino. Is everything now all good in the Carter camp?
Check out the some that were captured of their outing, above.

The divorce rumors surrounding Jay Z and Beyonce have been coming in at a rampant pace, but the two have not spoken out publicly about it. Since they won’t talk, media outlets have been asking anyone available to give their take on the situation. Yesterday, TMZ cameras caught up with Akon and the singer gave an insightful look on the relationship.
“Their relationship has been more of a business to the outside world than an actual relationship,” said Akon. “To them, it may feel like a relationship, but the way it was presented to the world, it feels more corporate…I think they were trying to keep their relationship out of the public. When you’re a person of interest to the public, it’s almost impossible to do without speculation…If you don’t open up to the public, people will naturally speculate and those speculations may be completely opposite or wrong of what is actually happening.”
Akon also believes that the situation will only result in great music. “It’s going to make better music, believe it or not. Now they have more content to speak about because they’re not the only ones dealing with it. People are dealing with the exact same thing just on a much smaller scale.”
Until Hov and Bey speak on the rumors themselves, all the public can do is speculate. Props to Akon for providing actual insight instead of dragging them through the mud.
Despite rumors of divorce and poor ticket sales plus someone losing a chunk of their finger at a tour stop, Jay Z and Beyonce’s massive On The Run tour can only be considered a success. Billboard released an article today claiming that once the North American portion of the tour wraps up this week, ticket sales will amass over $100 million and will have sold more than 90 percent capacity with an attendance of over 850,000.
“These shows sold tremendously well at the end,” said VP of North American touring for Live Nation, Omar Al-Joulani. “We were able to sell-up limited-view and clean up production holds or other holds. It was a very successful tour, and we’re pleased to have that big gross number at the end.”
As Al-Joulani put it, “Everybody’s winning.”
